Fitzparick Castle Hotel

The Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel is a nice place for a layover while in Dublin. Quaint countryside hotel near the water offers a nice area for walking after a busy day traveling. Afternoon tea or a drink in the bar or a swim in the pool or soak in the hot tub and the sauna. They have a great schedule of exercise classes from spin to water aerobics. Don’t worry about your hair you can get a cut or style in a salon onsite. It is about 30 minutes from the airport but the ride gives you an overview of the city and was enjoyable.

 Afternoon Tea Delight

After an enjoyable walk on Killiney Beach, my friend and I visited this hotel. We decided to have afternoon tea and were seated in the window overlooking the garden of the hotel. There was a wide choice from the menu from a full afternoon tea of sandwiches cakes scones and pastries. We chose to have just scones and tea which was presented served on a linen table cloth-covered table. A cafetiere of hot coffee and a pot of tea were served to us accompanied by home-cooked hot fruit scones served with fresh fruit cream and jam. The service was excellent and the staff were pleasant.

70th Birthday Celebration

Cannot fault this lovely hotel. Stayed for 3 days here for my husband's 70th surprise Birthday. Steeped in History, our room was big, had a lovely view overlooking the sea, the bed was big and very comfy. In-room facilities were excellent. Considering its age I thought it was in very good condition and any oddities just added to its charm. The dungeon area & restaurant was very atmospheric. The food was lovely and the staff very friendly. Reception girls couldn't have been more helpful with arranging taxis and help with local transport trains etc. Knowledge was also excellent, I was firing questions at them and they had all the answers I needed and were very patient with me. Breakfast was first class with so many choices I don't think anyone would be disappointed. Didn't get a chance to use to swimming pool but it looked lovely.  Overall I would highly recommend Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel.

Great break before Christmas

We stayed in Fitzpatricks from 19th Dec to the 22nd Dec. We totally loved it. Very family-friendly. A beautiful hotel. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The restaurant was lovely as was the bar.  On Thursday night we got a bit lost coming from town and arrived at the restaurant with only 2 mins to spare. The restaurant manager was so nice and kind and without fuss or bad feeling let us have our food even though the kitchen was almost closed. It was a lovely start to Christmas with both the children and the adults enjoying the break. We took a walk up Killiney hill which I’d totally recommend it. So near and very refreshing.

Can’t recommend it enough.
